UNAVE - Associação para a Formação Profissional e Investigação da Universidade de Aveiro

Since 1986, UNAVE- Association for Vocational Training and Research of the University of Aveiro (UA) is the interface unit of the University of Aveiro with society for lifelong learning. Under the terms of its statutes, it is a non-profit legal entity under private law.

Present in the market of continuing education for three decades, UNAVE designs, carries out and manages university-level training actions that are adjusted and flexible, in line with the needs of people and organizations, based on the excellence of the teaching of the University of Aveiro and benefiting from ongoing dialogue with companies and their associations, with professional groups and other movements in civil society, both at home and abroad.

As of 2014 and in order to promote a cohesive training offer that would integrate, in a transversal way, all the existing lifelong training valences at the University of Aveiro, UNAVE and the UA's Integrated Continuous Training Unit (UINFOC) started to work together, thus enabling the crediting of courses through ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) and the continuous training of teachers.
