The Prospection Mission to the Basque Country is underway

Under the Portuguese HUB ICT Project, a fact-finding mission to the Basque Country is taking place until February 2nd. The entities promoting the project are Inova-Ria and Fraunhofer, with the participation of CCJ - Computer Graphics Center and the support of GAIA - Estrategia Basque Microelectronic Hub.

This Mission is mainly focused on the contact with institutions and companies in what is one of the most innovative and industrialized regions of Europe. The 4 days of the mission are thematic and organized according to the following main areas: Digital Health and Medical Devices, Industry 4.0 and Smart Cities, Microelectronics and Creative Industries, Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence.

Several entities were visited between January 30th and February 2nd. The Portuguese HUB ICT project lasts two years and is funded by Portugal 2020, Compete 2020 and the European Union. The investment amount is 637,204.84€ of which 70% is financed.
